# How do I add followers to the schedule?
## Put parents, family and fans on your schedule, and choose what each one sees.
A follower is someone who follows your team but does not play for it. Parents are the usual case, and grandparents, boosters and alumni work the same way. Followers see your team schedule, and you choose how much more each one sees.
Only the head coach can invite followers. The **Followers** tab comes with State Champion and above.
### How do I add a follower to the schedule?
1. Select **My Team**.
2. Open the **Followers** tab.
3. Select **+ Invite Follower**.
4. Choose their **Follower type**: Parent/Guardian, Family & Friend or Fan.
5. Under **Linked players**, choose the player or players they follow. A Parent/Guardian and a Family & Friend need at least one. For a Fan it is optional.
6. Enter their **First Name**, **Last Name** and **Email**. **Phone** is optional.
7. Select **Send Invite**.
Once they accept, they see your schedule. Parents & Guardians and Family & Friends also get an email for each event you send them. Fans see only your games, and are not emailed. For the full walkthrough, see "[How do I invite a follower?](https://knowledge.footballplaycard.com/how-do-i-invite-a-follower?hsLang=en)"
For a player under 13, add their parent from the player instead: select **Add parent** on the player's roster row. That links the parent to the player, on any plan. See "[How do I add a player who is under 13?](https://knowledge.footballplaycard.com/how-do-i-add-a-player-under-13?hsLang=en)"
### Frequently Asked Questions
### What do followers see on an event?
| **Follower type** | **On each event** |
| --- | --- |
| **Parent/Guardian** | The full address and map, and an answer for each player they are linked to |
| **Family & Friend** | The full address and map |
| **Fan** | Games only, not practices or meetings. The venue name and the town, not the street address, unless you choose to show Fans the full address |
### Do followers get invites and reminders?
- Parents & Guardians and Family & Friends get the event emails and calendar invites for the events you send them. Fans are not emailed. Any follower can add your schedule to their own calendar: on **Schedule**, open the menu at the top and select **Add to calendar**. A Parent/Guardian of a player without an account also gets that player's emails, with the player's name in the subject, and a reminder to RSVP for them if nobody has answered.
### Can a parent RSVP for their player?
- Yes, when the parent is a **Parent/Guardian** linked to that player. The parent answers in the **Your players** card on the event. See "[How do I RSVP for my child?](https://knowledge.footballplaycard.com/how-do-i-rsvp-for-my-child?hsLang=en)" A player who has their own account can answer for themselves too.
### Do followers get text messages?
- Not yet. Email is how Football Play Card reaches followers about events today.
### Which plans include followers?
- Followers are included with State Champion and above, the same as the team schedule. Adding a parent for a player under 13 works on every plan.
