How do I add plays to a quiz?
Step-by-step guide to picking which plays a quiz covers.
The Pick Plays step of the quiz builder is where you choose which plays your quiz asks about. You browse your playbook folders on the left and select plays on the right.
How do I pick plays?
- In the quiz builder, go to the Plays & Questions step.
- In the Folders panel, select the folder you want to pull plays from.
- In the Plays panel, select each play you want on the quiz.
Selected plays are marked with a check. The count appears on the quiz list as # of Plays.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I see the plays as diagrams?
-
Yes. Use the view toggle above the Plays panel.
-
Grid view shows each play as a diagram, which is usually faster when you are picking by sight. List view shows them as a compact list, which is easier when you know the play names.
Can I add plays from different folders?
-
Yes. Select a folder to load its plays, pick what you want, then select another folder. Plays you already selected stay selected as you move around.
-
Two tools help when you lose track of a play. Show this play's folder jumps to where a play lives, and Edit play in the play card editor opens the play itself if you need to change it before quizzing on it.
The Plays panel says "Select a folder to view plays."
-
No folder is selected yet. Pick one in the Folders panel on the left.
The Plays panel says "No plays in this folder."
-
That folder is empty. Try another folder, or add plays to it first.
Do I have to add plays before writing questions?
-
Yes. Questions attach to a play, so pick your plays first, then move to the questions. See "How do I write quiz questions?"
Can I change the plays after publishing?
-
No. Once published, a quiz cannot be edited. Use Save as Draft until you are sure.
