# How do I collect RSVPs?
## See who is coming, and answer for a player who cannot answer themselves.
An RSVP tells you who is coming to an event before it happens. Coaches, players and Parents & Guardians you invite to an event on the Football Play Card schedule can answer **Yes**, **No** or **Maybe**, and you see the whole roster's answers on the event. Family & Friends can see the event but not answer it.
### How does my team answer an RSVP?
1. A player opens the event, in the app or from the invite email. On a game, they open the **Details** tab.
2. They choose **Yes**, **No** or **Maybe**.
3. They can add a comment, for example that they will be late.
A player who does not have their own account, such as a player on an Under 13 team, is answered for by their **Parent/Guardian**. The parent sees a **Your players** card on the event with an answer for each of their children. ### How do I see who is coming?
1. Open the event on the schedule.
2. On the **Details** tab, find **Roster response**. It shows a bar for **Players**, and one for **Coaches & followers** when you invited anyone besides players.
3. Select **View roster** to see each person's answer, grouped into Players, Coaches, Parents & Guardians and Family & Friends. When there is a **Coaches & followers** bar, **View roster** is on that bar.
The counts belong to the date you are looking at, not to the whole series. Players and parents see a **Who is going** card instead, with each name under Going, Maybe, Not going or No reply yet.
### How do I set a player's RSVP for them?
Coaches can set the answer for anyone on the roster, apart from themselves, which is **Your RSVP**, and anyone invited by email who has not joined the team yet. Use it when a player tells you at practice, or for a player without an account whose parent has not answered.
1. Open the event and select **View roster**.
2. Select the player's row.
3. Choose **Yes**, **No** or **Maybe**.
It saves as soon as you choose. The row then shows **Set by** and your name, so nobody wonders where the answer came from. On a repeating event, open the date from the Schedule first, because your answer covers that one date.
### Frequently Asked Questions
### How do RSVPs work on a repeating event?
- Each date is answered on its own. A player who can make Monday but not Wednesday opens each date from the Schedule and answers it separately, and answering one date does not answer the rest. A link in an email opens the whole series, so an answer given there counts for every date not already answered on its own.
- A player who knows their answer for the whole season opens any date, ticks **Apply my answer to every occurrence in this series** on the **Your RSVP** card, then chooses **Yes**, **No** or **Maybe**. It replaces any single dates they had already answered. A parent answering for a child answers one date at a time.
### Do people get reminded?
- Yes, by email. Everyone invited gets a reminder 24 hours before the event, and anyone who has not answered gets a nudge 48 hours before. For a player without an account, the nudge goes to their Parent/Guardian. On a repeating event, an answer for one date also stops the nudges for the other dates, so check each date on the schedule. Family & Friends get the reminder but not the nudge, and Fans get neither.
### What happens to RSVPs when I change an event?
- When you change the start time, length, arrival time, time zone or location, the box that opens when you save asks about replies: **Keep the answers**, or **Ask everyone to RSVP again**. A new start time comes set to ask again. Asking again clears the replies and cannot be undone. On one date of a repeating event it clears only that date's replies, and anyone who answered for the whole series keeps their answer. On the whole series it clears every date, including dates already played. A change to the title or notes never asks, and the answers stay.
### What happens to RSVPs when a player leaves the team?
- They come off every date from the day they leave. Past events keep their answers, so your attendance history stays right.
