# How do I review assignments across my plays?
## Every play you have open in one grid, so a missing assignment stands out.
Review assignments shows the plays you have open as one grid, with a row for each play and a column for each position that has an assignment. It is how you catch a position whose assignment is blank on one play before your players do.
### How do I open Review assignments?
1. Select **Plays** in the side menu and open the folder that holds your plays.
2. Select the plays you want to check.
3. Select **Bulk change**, then **Edit 6 selected plays**. The number is however many plays you selected, and they open together in the play editor.
4. Select **View**, then **Assignments**. On a phone, tap the **Assignments** button in the top bar.
5. Select **Review assignments**.
*Each row is a play and each column a position. A dot means that position has no assignment on that play.*
### How do I read the grid?
- The title counts the plays, such as **Assignments across 6 plays**.
- Each row is a play, and the play you have open is highlighted. Select a play's name to edit it.
- A position gets a column only when it has an assignment on at least one of the plays. The columns run across the formation in order. Hover over a column's letter to see the position's name.
- A dot means that position has no assignment on that play.
- The grid is read-only. To change an assignment, select the play's name and edit it in the **Assignments** panel.
### Frequently Asked Questions
### What does "worth a look before printing" mean?
- Under the grid, a line counts anything that may be a mistake. Select it to open the list. It names a position that had an assignment on the play before and is blank on this one, and an assignment that was filled in from a drawn route and that nobody has edited since. A blank is fine if you meant it. Select an item to edit that play. When there is nothing to flag, the line reads **nothing looks off across these plays**.
### Can I focus on offense or defense?
- Yes, when the plays have assignments on both sides. Select **Offense**, **Defense** or **Both** next to the title. The grid opens on the side the Assignments panel is showing, and it does not remember your choice for next time.
### How do special teams work in the grid?
- The grid is not grouped by unit. On a special teams play, the **Offense** and **Defense** buttons take the play's own unit names instead.
