# How do I switch my team to Under 13?
## Move players who already have accounts onto their parents, one player at a time.
Switching a team to **Under 13** moves players who already have their own Football Play Card account onto their parents. You go through your players one at a time and say which of them are under 13. Each player you mark Under 13 stays on your roster without an account, and their parent can follow the team for them.
Only the head coach can switch a team's age. If your league sets it, the roster shows **Your league sets this team's age.** instead, and your league makes the change.
### How do I switch my team to Under 13?
1. Select **My Team** and open the **Roster** tab.
2. In the toolbar above the roster, select the age next to **Team age:** (it reads **13-18**, **18+** or **Not set**) and choose **Under 13**.
3. If any of your players have their own account or a pending invite, the **Switch to Under 13** dialog opens. If none do, the team switches straight away and you are done.
4. For each player listed, choose **13 or older** or **Under 13**. A player you mark **13 or older** keeps their account, and nothing changes for them.
5. For each player you mark **Under 13**, you can enter a **Parent email**. This is optional.
6. Select **Confirm**.
**Confirm** stays greyed out until you have answered for every player. **Cancel** changes nothing.
### What happens to a player I mark Under 13?
Children under 13 cannot have their own Football Play Card account, so each player you mark Under 13:
- loses their login, and their account is deleted
- stays on your roster with their name, number and positions, and keeps their spot on the depth chart
- has their RSVPs and quiz answers deleted, because the player entered those themselves and Football Play Card cannot keep information a child gave it directly
- has every message they posted removed, in team chat and event chats, on every team
- has their activity history deleted
The dialog shows how many RSVPs and quizzes each player has on this team. Their RSVPs, quiz answers and messages on any other team are deleted too. An account closed this way cannot be brought back. Football Play Card does not email the player.
### Frequently Asked Questions
### What about players who have not accepted their invite yet?
- They are listed under **Pending invites**. Each of those invites is withdrawn, and the player stays on your roster without an account, with their name, number and positions. You can enter a **Parent email** for each one in the same dialog.
### What does the parent get?
- Each parent email you enter invites that parent to follow your team for that player. Enter the same email for two brothers or sisters and the parent gets one invite for both. Once the parent accepts, they answer the player's RSVPs and take the player's quizzes. If you skip the parent email, the player's roster row shows **Add parent**, so you can add one at any time. Once a parent email is entered, the row shows **Parent Invited**, then **Parent Linked** when the parent accepts. ### What if the player is on another team too?
- The player's account is closed everywhere, not just on your team. They stay on every roster they are on, without an account. The head coach of each of their other teams gets an email saying the player no longer has an account, and how to add a parent.
### What if the player pays for their own subscription or coaches a team?
- Their account is not closed automatically and nothing is cancelled. The player comes off your team straight away and stays on your roster without an account. Football Play Card support finishes closing the account by hand, and until then their RSVPs, quiz answers and messages stay. The same goes for a player who owns a league, or a playbook nobody else can open.
### What does "The players on this team changed" mean?
- Someone joined or left the team while the dialog was open. Close it and choose **Under 13** again, so you can answer for everyone on the current roster.
### What if a parent email is refused?
- Nothing changes until every email is accepted. Check that each one is typed correctly, is not your own, and does not belong to a coach or player already on your team. Then select **Confirm** again, or leave **Parent email** empty and add the parent later from the roster.
### What if I am told players must be converted first?
- Close the question, open the **Roster** tab, select the age next to **Team age:** and choose **Under 13**. The **Switch to Under 13** dialog lets you answer for each player.
