How do I cancel or delete an event?
Take an event off the schedule, and choose whether to tell your team.
When you cancel or delete an event on the Football Play Card team schedule, the app asks whether to tell the team. Telling the team sends an email, posts in team chat and sends a notification to their phones, so a rained-out practice reaches your team at once.
How do I delete an event?
- Open the event on the schedule.
- Select Delete.
- Choose how to tell the team. See the table below.
- Select Delete event.
If the event repeats, you are asked Delete recurring event first. See the next section.
How do I cancel one date of a repeating event?
- Open Schedule and select the date you are canceling.
- Select Delete.
- Choose This occurrence only.
- Choose how to tell the team.
- Select Cancel occurrence.
Every other date in the series stays on the schedule. Open the date from the Schedule, not from an email, because a link in an email opens the whole series and Delete then deletes every date.
To delete every date, choose The entire series in step 3 instead, and select Delete event at the end. That also removes the dates already played. Deleting cannot be undone, and takes the RSVPs, the event chat and any game score with it.
What are my choices for telling the team?

Under the choices, The team will see shows the message that goes to team chat and phones. Reminders for the event, or for that date, stop whichever you choose.
Canceling a meeting for coaches only? Choose Delete without telling the team and tell your coaches yourself, because telling the team posts the cancellation in the whole team's chat.
Frequently Asked Questions
What if I change my mind?
- Select Keep event, Keep it for a single date, or Cancel. Closing the box also keeps the event.
Why was I not asked about telling the team?
- The event has already happened. Deleting a past event, or canceling a date that is already over, just asks you to confirm, and nobody is told. Deleting the whole series of a repeating event with no end date always asks. When you are only tidying up an old season, choose Delete without telling the team.
