How do I save a location my team uses often?

A saved location is a field, gym or school you use again and again. Save it once and you can pick it on any event on the Football Play Card schedule instead of typing the address every time. A saved location also gives your team a map link and puts the weather forecast on the event.

How do I save a location while I create an event?

1. On the event, under Location, choose Add new location.
2. In Address, type a venue name or an address, then pick the match. The rest fills itself in.
3. Check the Name, for example Home Field, and change it to what your team calls the place.
4. Select Add, then finish the event and select Create, or Save on an event you are editing.

Every location you add this way is saved to your team's list, so it is there for the next event.

How do I manage my saved locations?

1. Open Schedule.
2. Open the three-dot menu at the top of the schedule, More schedule tools, and select Locations.
3. On Saved Locations, select New location to add one, or select a location to edit it. To delete one, select the trash icon on its row.

Editing a saved location changes it on every event that uses it. Only coaches see Locations.

How do I pin the exact field?

An address takes your team to the front gate. If your field sits deep inside a park or a school campus, pin it.

1. In New Location or Edit Location, find the map below the address. If it is hidden, select Pick on map.
2. Tap the map, or drag the pin, to put it on the field. You can also paste coordinates from Google Maps into Coordinates (optional).
3. Select Add, or Save on a location you are editing.

If the pin is more than half a mile from the address, Football Play Card shows how far and asks you to check. That is expected for a big park. Select Save anyway if the pin is where you meant it, or Go back to fix it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I set a different location for one date only?

• Yes, on a repeating event. Open the date from the Schedule, select Edit and choose This occurrence only, then change the location and select Save. Useful when one practice moves indoors.

What happened to one-time addresses?

• Every location is now saved, so there is no separate one-time address. An older event that has one still shows it. Select Edit location to turn it into a saved location.

Who sees the full address?

• Your team, Parents & Guardians and Family & Friends see the full address and the map. Fans see the venue name and the town only, unless the head coach turns on Show full addresses on the Followers tab of My Team. See "What can followers see?"

When does the weather forecast show?

• When an event has a saved location and its date is within 16 days, the forecast appears on the event. It uses the pin, or the address when there is no pin, so a location whose address cannot be found shows no forecast.
