How do I draw an option route or multiple routes or breaks for a player?

Use the Multi Line Segment Tool to branch a second, third or fourth break off any point in a route you have already drawn, so one receiver can show a choice of breaks on the same play card.

 Drawing the route

  1. Open the play, then select the Multi Line Segment Tool from the drawing toolbar (labelled Multi Line), or press Ctrl + 5.
  2. Click the player you want to draw for.
  3. Click the field to set each break in the route. Every click adds a segment, and the arrowhead moves to the newest one.
  4. Click the round handle at the point you want the option to break from. It takes a bolder outline to show it is the point the next line will be drawn from.
    1. Click, don't drag. Dragging a handle moves that break point instead of selecting it. A short click leaves the route exactly where it is.
  5. Click where you want the option to end. The new segment is drawn from that handle as a dotted line and takes the arrowhead.
  6. Repeat for as many options as you want: click the same handle again, then click the next end point.
  7. Double-click the field, or press Enter or Esc, to finish and return to the Select Tool. Save the play.
